First off, this isn't a retrospective piece on Rachel Bilson or Mischa Barton (though The O.C. reruns on the Soap have led me to put Bilson on my freebie list).
ANYWAY... put this in the category of off-season boredom and something I did not know...
Christian hoops fans appreciate some live ass at their games. The OC Gladiators of the fledgling ABA basketball league have their own dance team, the OC Goddesses. See the Gladiators' owner David R. Clarke is involved in "various faith based initiatives." His myspace page has "God Family Hoops Investing" as an interest. (Shockingly to absolutely nobody he lists Fox News as another "interest.") So basically this new franchise is a faith based hoops team (heavy sigh... just when I finally got over that that whole cross thing that Mark Jackson used to do toward the end of his career).
ANYWAY, so with a faith-based hoops squad OF COURSE you need some hot chicks to tease you into submission. So the marketing geniuses came up with the OC Goddesses (see... they're christian and they dance... goddesses... get it? GET IT????).
So if you can't make it out to the next Gladiators prayer session game you can still check out these checks in their new calendar here for $6.99. Here's some Goddesses links (BTW - am I going to hell if I say God-asses?):
