LaRocque

Pierce had a lot of good years. He was one of the league's best players in 05-06, but he was never talked about because the Celts sucked (although he put up 40 against the Lakers in a one point win on a Sunday night nationally televised game. The only nationally televised game the Cs had that year). I'll admit that he looked bad at times when he had to do everything. But, you can't say that he hasn't been one of the top players in the league.

You do realize that Pierce is a 11 year veteran with a bevy of great seasons on his resume. I guess not. It's really his fault that he played on a team with Ricky Davis and Mark Blount for two seasons and then on another with four high school draftees that lost 17 games in a row when he went down.

Anyway, if the Lakers do make it to the finals, my advice if they want to win the whole thing is to sit Kobe down or hopes he goes down with injury. That guy sucks in the finals. He's a great setup man, tough as nails in the 7th and 8th innings but his "closer" mystique blows up on the biggest stage. He morphs into the stereotypical offensively bloated guard. But in his defense, it's all because pansy gimmicky defenses weren't man enough to play him straight up.
