Reality of the Garnett trade finally sunk in with me as soon as I saw video of him throwing out the first pitch at Fenway. Congratulations to Danny Ainge for turning the C's from lottery losers to instant Eastern Conference contenders. The NBA's at its best when franchises like Boston, Chicago, New York and the Lakers are relevant.
Still, as a Laker season ticket holder, I'm excited for Boston yet thoroughly depressed. While Ainge showed moxie for pulling off both the KG and Allen trades, the Lakers are busy trying to dominate the feel good story category (with D-Fish and the emotional story about his daughter, the retarded point guard in Sasha Vujacic and now the Cody Karl signing, who recovered from cancer). The Lakers might not win a lot of games, but you'll feel very guilty if you dare boo them.
Anyway, this isn't about the Lakers, it all about KG. Here's some photos from his day at Fenway:
I am hearing rumors out here in Utah that Karl Malone is interested in returning to play with the Celtics...Have you heard anything to that sort out there?

Forget Lebron, KG is easily the most charismatic player in the league.

game every season. That being said, you think he would just "have" a stress fracture JUST to play for China? No player WANTS to be injured, and as much of a joke you make of this 21 game streak, I'm sure Yao would
