There is a completely worthless recount of some other 100+ point performances in "other leagues" on ESPNs Page 2 website. I understand this was meant as a wacky entertainment article, but honestly it's pointless. Most of these came in the 1950s against sub-standard competition, like junior colleges or even high schools. The worst of these though is listing two "female" players in this list.
First of all, there are only a handful of women who even care to attempt to play basketball. Of these select few, even fewer care to spend their lives playing the sport. Most do it as an activity, something to pass the time that might be interesting to try. So when you see a score like 179-15, obviously you have the equivalent of men (Cheryl Miller) playing against boys. Apparently the main qualification for scoring over 100 on a "women's" team is something Cheryl and I have in common: a penis.
OK, maybe that's pushing it. There is obviously a much more reasonable explanation. S/he must be a eunuch.
