In the tradition of great NBA cell phone gimmicks, our fiends at Nike are giving us the athlete wake-up call. That's right, you can schedule Amare Stoudamire to personally (well, via recorded message) call you each morning and tell you to "stop being a lazy bum," "lose the PJs," "hit the court," and "do something about your hair, you're a mess."
We know they chose Amare because he has a lot of free time on his hands, and currently he's the only NBA player that Nike is offering. Wouldn't it be great if they had players from every team? Then you could have, say, Dirk Nowitzki call some Spurs fan at like 4 in the morning and give 'em the old "Gong Show!" line. Even better, the website allows you to schedule these calls to happen every day, so theoretically if someone deserved it you could schedule a 3am daily wake-up call that would call, every day, forever. Here's the link to check it out.
