The New Jersey Nets are on a four game winning streak, thanks mostly to the recent resurgence of Vince Carter. VC has averaged almost 26 a game in December, which makes you wonder if J Kidd got him a heart as an early Christmas gift.
Carter looks like the old Vinsanity lately. Did you see the sick dunks from last night's game, including a ridiculous two-handed reverse dunk off an alley-oop? He's playing like he actually cares again, with over 30 points in three of his last four games. Most importantly, the Nets' recent win streak has pushed them over .500 for the first time this season.
It would be extremely frustrating to be a fan of VC, considering the way he tanked games/faked injuries just to get out of Toronto, then played his ass off once he got to New Jersey. Don't believe me? Take a look at some of his game average stats from 04-05 in Toronto up against what he did after he got to New Jersey that same season:
TOR: 15.8 points, 3 assists, 3.3 rebounds, .694 ft%, .322 3-point%
NJN: 27.5 points, 4.7 asst, 5.9 rebounds, .817 ft%, .425 3-point%
So the question is, will VC choose to continue his superstar level play, or will he revert back to the lazy, not-trying, 3-point jacking a-hole he was in Toronto? Only time will tell, let's just hope J Kidd kept the receipt.
One factor in the temporary return of "The Vinsanity": The trade rumors coming out of New Jersey. The Nets realize that Carter may not be the right fit for the team and are rumored to be shopping him. Is he motivated to prove that he's worth keeping or is he motivated to showcase his skills for a trade elsewhere? Who knows, at least the Nets are watchable for a few games.

Then, a live view of the locker room tunnel with Sharks players is shown on the scoreboard and the goalie leads the team out of the locker room, through the mouth, and onto the ice.[21] The Sharks currently use "Seek & Destroy" by Metallica as their entrance song.
