I have to admit, it's really difficult to see the computer screen as my eyes are bleeding. An alternate jersey for the Boston Celtics? Are you kidding me? The most storied franchise in the NBA needs to create a third jersey in order to squeeze every last penny out of their fans? I always understood crappy sports like hockey changing jerseys every three years because they need to find ways to make money, but the Boston Celtics?
I feel like the time I heard Ashlee Simpson lip syncs. I was like, "No freakin' way!" What made the Celtics so special is that over all these years they respected their history. At home you had white jerseys with green lettering and on the road you had green jerseys with white lettering. They weren't the Orlando Magic or the Charlotte/New Orleans/Oklahoma City/Las Vegas Hornets, changing jerseys every year to bring in extra cash from the dedicated fans.
This is being promoted as, "a second road uniform for the first time ever. The new gear is inspired by the 1946-48 uniforms.." Why do we need to be inspired by the 1946 Celtics? Will the restrooms be segregated and all the black players hung for inspiration from 1946? When does it stop? Will there be 82 jerseys inspiried by 82 different things. "The December 5th jersey is inspired by the 1986 Boston Celtics, see the cocaine stain on the sleeve is dedicated to Len Bias."
For your own self-respect and for the love of god, please stop with the alternate jerseys.
Hey, isn't this coming from the (proud?) owner of a Kobe Bryant MPLS (Mother Pucking Lakers Suck) powder blue jersey?!

A nice try, except that I own the retro jersey, and not some newly created jersey like the road/home alts. It doesn't make the retro jerseys any better since every team break out a different one each year. To me it's wrong to alter history for the sake of cash. Much like the Laker Sunday white alt. jersey.
