I don't find this one particularly funny, but the Deron Williams cameo was a nice touch, and as I said about a similar (but less-involved) effort from the Spurs' Roger Mason, Jr., I certainly appreciate the effort.
But if you're a Clippers fan, you probably don't find this funny at all. And in fact, you're probably more than a little pissed off that Davis seems to put more time into things like these than he does to the game of basketball.
Monday's game against the Jazz was a nice example of Baron's ineptitude. While the box score showed his most productive game in terms of a points+assists combination since January 12, his 9 turnovers virtually canceled out most of those positives. And one in particular -- with his team clinging to a two-point lead and 19 seconds left -- could have cost the Clippers the game.
It didn't, thanks to Deron Williams missing two free throws on the other end that would have tied things up.
Now, is it unfair to point out one play, in one game out of 82, as an example of Baron's bad play? Possibly; it's just the most recent that comes to mind. But perhaps a look at his three-point shooting this season will clue you in on just how little he cares about doing the right thing for his team on the basketball court.
On the season, ESPN's player statistic page ranks 122 players on their three-point shooting -- makes, misses, percentages, etc. Why 122? Well, they're only looking at players who are on pace to make at least 55 threes on the season. Here's where it gets interesting.
Baron Davis is tied with Vince Carter for 33rd in the league in attempts, with 234 (heading into Wednesday's game against the Suns). Out of the 122 players mentioned, Davis ranks DEAD LAST in three-point percentage, making them at a clip of just .282.
The person ahead of him on the percentage chart, at number 121? Rasheed Wallace.
As the team's point guard, there's no way Baron should be launching that many threes when he shoots such a poor percentage from out there. That's a clear sign of both personal laziness, and, in the broader picture, indifference to his team's success.
If Baron is going to shoot that many threes, he should probably spend his free time in the gym working on his outside shot. Or, you know, he could continue making silly videos instead.
But whatever he decides to do in the future, he'll likely be doing it as a member of the Clippers. Because at $13 million a year through 2013, you can bet your ass that no one is going to be trading for that contract.
Behold, the new viral video attempt from Baron Davis, where the comically intentioned former NBA superstar goes all infomercial on us, while hocking the magical powers of Boom's Beard.

Life is Short. Whether we live 20 years or 100, our lives pass quickly. All the more reason to spend our life doing what we love. Since we never know how much time we have left, we should live each day as if it is our last—for it just may be.

While it can be clunky Office 2010 at first, especially if you're used to an older version, I find it much easier to get serious Microsoft Office 2010 formatting and editing changes done in this version.
