Honestly, I have no idea what the blogging world is going to do now that Gilbert Arenas is out for at least three months. What's even worse is that Adidas rolled out a very creative ad campaign for the new Gil II Zero's for the entire season. Basically they designed 20 different editions with each one scheduled to be unveiled on the same day Gilbert Arenas wore them on the court (insert 90's "...NOT" joke here). They even filmed a bunch of Laugh-In-esque type of promos for his new website gilTV.com.
Here's Cookin' with Gil:
Actually, the Hibachi Shoe ("cooked up by Gilbert Arenas, serving Detroit 3-23-08") looks pretty clean. Check it out:
Personally, I just hope that Arenas is not the equivalent of a one-hit wonder and that he recovers to the level of basketball/entertainment he brought to the NBA last season. The guy was *THE* storyline and helped carry us hoops fans through one of the most boring seasons in NBA history (culminating with that Spurs-Cavs abortion).
