Ladies and gentleman, a Ha Seung-Jin sighting!
Actually it was more than a sighting as The Korean Gheorghe Muresan kicked some serious Kazak ass and led South Korea to a 80-76 win over Kazakhstan during a third-fourth placed classification game at the Asia basketball championship in Tokushima, Japan.
As third-fourth classification matches go, I heard this was quite the barn-burner. In one of those whacky bets by politicians, the President of S. Korea bet 5 lbs. of kimchee to a crate of potassium from the Premier of Kazakhstan.
BTW - according to his wikipedia page he's currently playing for the Anaheim Arsenal in the NBA D-League. I just took a look at his NBADL stats... over 7-feet tall against D-League talent he averaged a whopping 2.7 ppg. Dude... just how bad are the Kazak bigs? And more importantly, how soon before Jim Buss signs one of them?
Anyway, celebrations and Wookie primal screams all around...
