Check out the new playoff t-shirts over at NBA.com, pretty stylish right? Maybe, but they certainly won't get any points for originality. A company called Undercrown started the trend of doing these types of shirts with a sports theme, and theirs are way more interesting. For example, some of their offerings include shirts honoring the Fab 5 from Michigan, the UNLV championship team, and the 80's Lakers. This was also picked up by some people around the blogosphere, the first one that comes to mind is this one by the people at Wizznutzz, honoring the 1998 Bullets' bench.
The ones that are currently being peddled on NBA.com aren't nearly as imaginative. They really should have taken a more creative approach. For example, in the spirit of the Kobe shirt, this is what I would have done with the Spurs' shirt.

hmmmm..nice work! gotta have those and wear it in San Antonio.

dude, y'all are fukin' gay...seriously. Two guys who are the biggest fans of the basketball and are "intelligent" yet can't appreciate how the game is played? This is stupid, it's no wonder you have like, three visitors. lol...go live life somewhere else, your opinions suck. First they were boring and now they're dirty...y'all honestly sound like the ignorant Suns fans we observed with helmets and nose guards on, hahah...what a buncha ignorant jackasses. Anyone who knows about basketball would know that they weren't playing dirty at all...one shove from Horry and everyone's scared. Fukin' babies, all of you! This is the playoffs for God's sake!

That's a great idea for a Spurs shirt, sums them up perfectly. Maybe If I could stay awake long enough during a spurs game I would sport the shirt while watching Tim Duncan's stoic empressions and play aftermath bitching.
But seriously, the Spurs and Pistons in the finals... why? Just why... man, this is fuct. I half expected Phoenix to be able to beat the Spurs, but I was really confident in Dallas's ability to put them away much like they did last year. Thanks alot Warriors, I hope your proud of yourselves.

Just to clarify: the original designer of this T-shirt is Experimental Jetset, who did a Beatles tribute of this style in 2001.
You can see some of their designs here (including the original):

It's kind of funny that there's official NBA merchandise that's a blatant copy of this.

i like it. i think they should give them out as freebies at game 2 just like the warriors' "we believe" e-bay phenom-tees. this is way better than boring, boring, boring, boring & boring or whiny, whiny, whiny, whiny & whiny. i'm fully ready to embrace the new "dirty" spurs. thank you brett. thank you suns. thank you crazy, hype-driven media.

I'm pretty sure most Spurs fans would wear that shirt with pride. The crowd did give Robert Horry a standing ovation on Sunday night. I loved his "yeah so what I'd do it again" interview that's on ESPN. Hmm, maybe the shirt should read DIRTY, SO WHAT?

Finally, something that both Suns fans and Spurs fans can agree on.

people just like to make up excuses because their team is always losing to spurs.. spurs take alot of dirty fouls from everyone else and most of the time they dont get called, so no one mentions those dirty players.. the spurs actually play as a TEAM thats why they win championships and dont make excuse for their losses
GO SPURS GO!!!
