At least when it comes to guarding LeBron James. We were just discussing how, before last night, the last two times that LeBron had the ball with the chance to tie the game he beat Tayshaun Prince off the dribble and got to the front of the rim. In Game 2, the game once again came down to the final possession, but this time the Pistons put Rip Hamilton on LeBron, and the adjustment worked. Hamilton was able to stay in front of LeBron, and forced him (with a little contact) into a difficult shot that he couldn't convert.
While we're here, let me just say that LeBron technically may have been fouled, but the contact was so minimal that there's no way in hell that the refs were going to give him the chance to win the game at the free throw line. Did you happen to notice in the video that both Tayshaun and Rasheed were waiting for LeBron by the time he was ready to attempt the shot? After all the criticism (justified or not) that James received for passing the ball in Game 1, I think the Pistons, like the rest of us, were pretty sure that he would be shooting this time.
Yeah no foul! Apparently your blind or a Detriot fan because he was CLEARLY RAPED (as if kobe were there) by rip hamilton going up for the shot. besides the lower body contact rip held lebrons left arm down too.
