Photos: Headband Hypocrisy
By Craig Kwasniewski
Message to the Chicago Bulls: If you're going to ban and subsequently fine Ben Wallace for sporting a headband during a game you should probably stop using a headband-clad Wallace in your ads.
I found a few photos of Big Ben sporting the taboo headband on the Bulls Store website. As I wrote yesterday, "Why ban headbands and who really cares?" There are much worse things a player can do, so why not look the other way and allow the under achieving power forward to wear the damn cloth. Maybe then he'll grab a rebound, unlike last Friday against the Sixers.
Anyway, here's the Bulls ad showing the headband on Wallace followed by some photos of Wallace against the Knicks breaking the law:

skiles is a control freak and very strong willed .
ben is a recalcitant .
the 2 are bound to go head to head .
or afro head to bald head !

I think the rule is too strict, the image of a basketball player wearing a band in his head ain't that bad/informal. I think the Bulls should ease, and Ben should start playing and stop crying over the phone with pal Billups

The rule is dumb, there is no doubt about that. The problem is the way that Wallace dealt with it. We have all had job experiences with dumb rules, but blatantly defying them always leads to problems. He could have discussed this with the team prior and fought to change this. Instead, the "team minded" Big Ben Wallace just comes off looking selfish.

How can they ban headbands? It's like banning batting gloves in baseball...
