Beating the Starbury One story to death (things are REALLY slow in the NBA), there's news that Stephon Marbury could be coming to a mall near you.
Skipping the bran muffins jokes, #3 brings you the Starbury Movement Tour. Offering up in-store autograph signings and more, Stephon Marbury is touring the nation to help promote this summer's surprising hit, the Starbury One.
According to Starbury.com:
I feel blessed that so many people have embraced the Movement we've created. To say thanks and to help spread the love across the country, I'm hitting the road 9/9 - 9/28 with the Starbury Movement Tour. Check us out and get an autograph at Steve & Barry's stores. A player's also gotta put in some work, so you're invited to watch me get ready for the NBA season during my daily work-outs at local gyms. Sometimes I'll be goin' at it alone (like EVERY Knicks game), and sometimes with a high-school team (the Knicks), but always hard (unlike the Knicks). We'll also be at some places where and when you'd least expect it.

Okay so I made a few revisions, how can you not? Still, mix in Starbury's street cred, an affordable shoe and a look that doesn't remind us of those medicated shoes the "special kids" wear and you have one of the hotter kicks of the summer. Putting out a decent pair of shoes at $14.95 has definately helped is image (At least until his first Knicks outburst in mid-November).
Here some key dates on the tour:
13-Sep @ Indianapolis, IN - Lafayette Square @ 5:00 PM (will Bird ask for an autograph?)
16-Sep @ Milwaukee, WI - Southridge Mall @ 4:00 PM (bonus Latrell Spreewell sighting?)
.
18-Sep @ Chicago, IL - Fox Valley @ 4:00 PM (my elementary school haunt)
20-Sep @ Dallas, TX - Grapevine Mills @ 7:00 PM (odds that a customer being "observed" for an episode of Cheaters is high)
21-Sep @ Los Angeles - Fox Hills @ TBD (closest to La Casa del Association, hoping to improve upon the Tim Thomas sighting)
23-Sep @ Orange - The Block at Orange @ TBD (call me crazy, but I'm guessing "The O.C." is not really Starbury's demographic)
Here's the entire schedule for the upcoming Starbury Movement Tour. (Tour Schedule - PDF)
There you have it, I have officially overexposed the Starbury One storyline... I went Hollywood exec and went for the trilogy (Starbury One, Starbury One Review, Starbury Movement Tour) in order to increase DVD sales later this Christmas. And now it's time to put this story to sleep...

Whoop-dee-frickin-doo. He put out a cheap, decent shoe. Hooray. Raise your hand if you're tired of this story...yep, that's everyone.
Thank you for finally putting this to rest.

Well said Jack.
Can we get an NBA arrest, drunken photos of David Stern or a bad trade to blog about? I'm running on fumes here!
Until then it's either Starbury One stories or fantasy football/strikeout pool talk. And NOBODY wants that!

I posted this review under the last Starbury post, but to shed some light on the subject...I just got mine today and broke em in immediately. Super lightweight, low to the ground, good traction, tight lacing system, good ankle support, breathable but sturdy leather, and good looks. Overall, I give them an A- for lack of arch support. If anyone says they dislike these shoes, they are just hating. As a former high school basketball player and assistant AAU coach, for $15 they are worth $60 more than what I paid for them. I would recommend these to any serious baller who realizes that a good shoe isn't made good because of the price.
