Thank god it's Sheed!
After being flooded with clichés like, "we need to take it one game at a time" and "we just have to hold home court" and "blah, blah, blah just have to steal one game", it's nice to have a Rasheed Wallace out there to set us all straight.
Looking to motivate the Pistons for game 4 on Monday, Rasheed Wallace dropped his prognostication skillz on the media:
We're gonna bust their ass. Tomorrow night is the last game here is this building for this year. Now y'all can quote me, put it on the front page, back page whatever. They can send whoever they want to send. I know the crew I think they're going to send. But it don't matter. I know we can do it, and they know we can do it. We know what we've got to do.
In my opinion, all this is my opinion, there's only one out there, one maybe two teams tops, that can really give us that real good challenge who it's like, 'All right, we can't make no mistakes against those teams.'
When asked, "Are the Cavs one of those teams?" Sheed simply added:
Nah... nope! (Shaking his head.)
Thank you Sheed! Talent wise, the Pistons are eons ahead of the Cavs, however they sometimes get bored and lack that killer instinct that Jordan had. Sheed felt the need to add a little extra motivation/pressure on the Pistons. This should make game 4 extremely intriguing. Especially with D. Stern doing everything possible to make this a 2-2 series (obviously because, "we are all witnesses"), game 4 could rank right up there with games 2-6 of the Lakers-Suns series.

FYI: the line is only Detroit (-6) right now...

Hearing the audio of this is even better, 'Sheed sounds like a crazed homeless guy. He's the best.
DET -6 seems ok, but if they don't adjust their D they'll have problems. All the Cavs points came off of layups and dunks last game, until late in the 4th when they started hitting 3s. They were double and tripling Bron-Bron leaving everyone else too wide open. DET needs to take their chances and play Lebron straight up, and if they do that I see an easy win for the Pistons.
